Then you won't have to bother getting out the car to get around. You'll be able to walk everywhere. If you drive you might want to stop at the visitor centre and leave your car there. You can take a trolley to the river walk. Parking is at a premium and it's hard to find a parking place. Be sure and take a River Boat Cruise. Weekend City Break Daytona Beach, Florida

If you're looking for some beach action this is the city for you. But don't go here expecting a laid-back tropical oasis. If that's what you're looking for then Amelia Island or Key West are better Florida options. Daytona is all about the excitement. Any type of water sport is available.
Always stay on a hotel that is next to the ocean. Because Daytona is so built up with condos and hotels you won't see the ocean unless you're at an ocean side hotel.
If you're a car racing fan don't miss the Daytona 500. However, if you don't like crowds you'll want to avoid race week and also bike week in March.

Weekend City Break San Antonio, Texas

When you visit this city for a weekend city break, you want to book a hotel on the River Walk. You can then walk to a multitude of restaurants and shopping spots without ever getting the car out of the garage unless you choose to.
Never leave San Antonio without eating some Tex-Mex.
You shouldn't miss your chance to visit the Alamo. Though you have to be a history buff to really appreciate this site. Your kids will enjoy the Ripley' Believe it or Not more than the Alamo.
Other options in San Antonio include: Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta, The San Antonio Zoo, The Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort, and The Children's Museum.
The Natural Bridge Caverns are an interesting out of the city option.
No matter where you choose to go for your city break, you can make memories, have an adventure, and taste a wide array of food from Tex-Mex to seafood.
